Customized reefer trailers for Coop Train
Coop and PNO Sweden have signed a deal on new reefer huckepack trailers to be used for the Coop Train – a climate efficient transport solution, replacing approximately 17.000 truck trips between Skåne and Stockholm yearly.

Customized trailers for efficient transport
During 2020, PNO will deliver reefer trailers with huckepack, double floor, and over height specifications. Being optimized for intermodal transport and having high loading capacity, these trailers are supporting Coop in its objective to lower the company’s environmental impact related to transports.
The cooling aggregates from Thermo King take advantage of the latest technology offering reduced CO2 emission and noise. The trailers are manufactured by Schmitz Cargobull and are equipped with both temperature and positioning tracking, which enable reliable and efficient operation.
The Coop Train
Coop’s combined truck and train solution was established 10 years ago to improve transport efficiency and reduce Coop’s climate impact deriving from transport. The line connects Malmö and Stockholm. The Coop Train saves approximately 17 000 truck trips between the two cities every year.
