PRESS RELEASE – PNO officially becomes a B Corporation

After an extensive process, Danish trailer rental company PNO has been awarded B Corporation status.

B CORPORATION certification is only awarded to companies who meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.

For PNO, this certification is a reflection of its purpose to “lead the transition to sustainable freight” via People, Planet and Profit. Solvej Lee Ørnstrand, Head of Culture & Communication at PNO, explains:

“We are a company that is fuelled by a purpose. Our goal is to contribute to society, our employees and the world around us. The B Corp framework gives us a great framework to measure our progress.”

Though already a sustainable company, PNO had to make some changes to its policies and processes to meet the rigorous standards of B Corp’s four pillars of environment, local community, employees and governance.

“Becoming a B Corp isn’t easy, but fortunately, everyone in our organisation, are fully committed to being a good company at the core.”

This makes PNO one of only 3,023 B Corporations globally. As the largest B Corp in the Nordic region (in terms of revenue) and the only rental company, PNO continues to make strides toward fulfilling its purpose. But as Solvej Lee Ørnstrand shares, this is just the beginning.

“We are proud of being part of the B Corp family and see this as the stepping stone in our effort to lead the transition to sustainable freight. But this is not the end goal. We want to raise the bar and continue to improve. We are just getting started”

PNO has the Nordics’ largest range of short and long-term trailer rentals for transport and logistics companies. Family-owned and anchored in the values of responsibility and common sense, it has offices in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Holland.
