Every day in Europe, thousands of trailers sit empty in warehouses or travel across the continent at barely a quarter of their capacity. Thousands of tonnes of unnecessary carbon emissions and hundreds of million Euros are wasted every year.
PNO is tackling this problem head-on. Reducing waste and achieving better utilisation accelerates the transition to sustainable freight. Increased use of each trailer, fewer empty miles and reduced downtime will lower emissions – and lower cost.
Another possible solution to tackle this problem is trailer sharing. PNO is planning to provide customers with the option to earn extra revenue by sharing their unused trailers in PNO’s network.
