The New Cool: A responsible choice

The Dutch company THT New Cool has created a reefer named The New Cool that operates on self-generated energy. The energy is created by the special Valx axle when the trailer slows down, after which the electricity is stored in a battery. The battery powers the cooling aggregate and makes the reefer independent of diesel. The New Cool trailers have been tested on the road since 2014 and will be in serial production from 2019.

The New Cool’s technology has several environmental and business related advantages. It saves you up to 30 liters of diesel a day and enables the cooling aggregate to stay active even when disconnected from the truck. As previously described, more and more European cities are introducing local diesel bans in urban areas. Because The New Cool has zero CO2 emission, it can operate within these areas. By investing in The New Cool reefers, your business stays competitive despite the increasing numbers of emission regulations and thereby secures its position on the long-term. In the near future you will be able to make this investment through PNO – more info will follow.

The New Cool reefer comes in multiple types and the specifications can be customized to your’ needs. Read more about The New Cool here.
